After several meetings and working sessions, on the morning of March 8, 2025, Thai Binh Duong University signed a cooperation agreement with Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS).

Representatives from both institutions signed a cooperation agreement.

Attending the program, from Thai Binh Duong University, were Prof. Dr. Dao Van Dong – President; Dr. Van Huu Quang Nhat – Head of the Department of Science and Technology and International Cooperation; Dr. Nguyen Ba Hung – Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, along with representatives from other Faculties and Departments.

Representatives from UNIMAS included Professor Dr. Puah Chin Hong – CEO of UNIMAS Business School; Mr. Thian Foong Fatt – Director of UNIMAS Global; Dr. Wong Say Ho, President of UNIMAS Kuala Lumpur Learning Center at Grand International Academy; and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Giang – UNIMAS Strategic Partner in Vietnam.

According to the agreement, the two universities will implement postgraduate training programs, student and faculty exchanges, intensive English language training, cultural exchanges, organize scientific conferences, and conduct joint research projects. The highlight of this cooperation is the establishment of the UNIMAS International Learning Centre at Thai Binh Duong University. Specifically, the Center will provide postgraduate programs in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, Economics, and Social Sciences. Students will learn with modern curricula, access advanced teaching methods, and receive international degrees issued by UNIMAS, at a more reasonable cost than studying abroad.

It is known that UNIMAS is one of the leading public universities in Malaysia, ranked in the top 200 universities in Asia according to the QS Asia University Rankings. UNIMAS is renowned for its strengths in economics, business administration, technology, and engineering, attracting students from over 50 countries around the world.

This cooperation further affirms the efforts of Thai Binh Duong University in expanding its international partner network across various fields, especially in education and training with prestigious universities worldwide. This, in turn, helps enhance international experiences for learners and accelerate the process of improving teaching and research quality to international standards at the University.
